CHATA ADDY / THE MUSIC MAN: HOME
Susuma plays Chata Addy original and contemporary world beat sounds. Susuma specializes in Afro Reggae and Funky Highlife dance music. Its extensive background in drumming brings plenty of energy to the stage. Whether Chata is singing in his native language Ga or in English, listeners can understand. They pick up the joy in his music. The members of the band use a drum set, keyboard, saxophone, flute, two electric guitars, an electric bass guitar. Chata Addy, the leader of the band Susuma, plays three congas, the talking drum, and provides lead vocals.
Shi Dah performs Ghanaian drumming, dance and songs. The group wears traditional costumes on stage. Chata and the group members will invite some of the audience to participate by drumming or dancing, for the audience to discover the rhythms of Ghana.
CHATA ADDY SOLO PERFORMANCE
The performance begins with a drumming solo. Followed by a brief introduction of the different instruments and their functions. Chata will then invite some of the audience to join him, where he will teach them rhythms on the drums and dance moves to jam with him. Chata promises that the audience will take with them the memory of this experience.
